Debora May is the managing partner in charge of quality review on individual tax, divorce and financial planning engagements. She has over twenty-eight years of experience in public accounting with varied and substantial experience in tax, financial planning for individuals and closely held business, divorce litigation support and negotiation for financial settlements in divorce. She has provided expert testimony for attorneys in divorce and real estate matters, and participated in mediations for divorce. Ms. May is recognized as a local expert in the divorce planning area and has helped negotiate settlements in over 300 divorce cases. She has also been voted by her peers as one of the top financial planning experts in the metropolitan Washington, DC area in the only two polls of that nature sponsored by Washingtonian Magazine (October 1994, December 2002). In addition, she has also represented clients in IRS and state audit matters.

She has served on the board of directors of a number of associations and non-profit organizations and she currently lectures and writes on a number of tax and financial planning topics. She has also hosted a week long TV program for Montgomery County, MD cable on tax and financial planning subjects. Ms. May provides consulting services to other CFP’s and professionals in the area of divorce and tax planning.

Ms. May was formerly a senior auditor with the national CPA firm of Ernst & Young.
