COLLABORATIVE LAW PROFESSIONAL :: ATTORNEY
Ms. Terenzini has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 2006. Her prior experience includes the litigation and administration of adult guardianship cases as well as the administration of estates and trusts. In 2006, Ms. Terenzini joined the Law Office of Cheryl Lynn Hepfer, a boutique family law practice.
Trained in both mediation and collaborative law , Ms. Terenzini has attended The Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers (MICPEL) civil mediation training, the domestic mediation course in property, the domestic mediation course in custody and child access issues, and the Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals, Inc. collaborative practice team training. Ms. Terenzini has also completed the MICPEL training for court appointed lawyers representing children in cases involving child custody or child access.
Ms. Terenzini has earned such recognitions as being named as a "Maryland Rising Star" in the area of family law by the Maryland Super Lawyers for 2009 and for 2010.
A graduate of Heidelberg College, Ms. Terenzini earned a B.A. in English and Philosophy in 1996. Subsequently, Ms. Terenzini received her M.A. in English from the University of Rochester in 1997 and received her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2003. While in law school, she served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class and gained litigation experience as a law clerk in a small general practice firm in Howard County, Maryland.
Ms. Terenzini is admitted to practice in Maryland and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She has practiced before the trial level courts in Montgomery County, Howard County, Prince George’s County, Anne Arundel County, Charles County, Baltimore City, and Baltimore County, Maryland as well as prepared briefs and participated in oral argument before the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland.
