Suzy Eckstein has an established family and domestic law practice, and has extensive experience in civil litigation, business law, contract matters and wills and estates. She is a member of both the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. She graduated cum laude from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling; and she received her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1987. She is an active member of the Family Law Sections of both the Maryland State and Montgomery County Bar Associations. She successfully argued what the Family Law Monthly described as the “landmark” case of Rock v. Rock, a precedent-setting decision on the award of indefinite alimony. She has appeared as a guest legal expert on an internet media program about single parents, Single Parent City, which is planned to be aired internationally. Locally, CBS reporter Jan Fox featured her advice regarding prenuptial agreements on the Consumer Reports segment of Channel 9’s Eyewitness News.
